December 7, 2006

My baby turned 7 today. Yesterday he knocked out his three front teeth at the local pizza kid’s play house of bacteria and snotty nosed kids.

Blood everywhere, screaming and a conspicuous absence of gnashing.

Today we celebrated the day of his birth by eating omelettes, running errands, going out for lunch, going to the movies and lots of hugs and kisses. Oh, and some presents too….

Such a day. Such a day.

I’m exhausted.

Update:

12/10/06 My oldest boy turned 9. We partied. Again. All day. Ended up with burgers and a movie…

So much celebrating. So little time.

Poor fella! Lost three teeth, huh? Oh well, it’ll make a great story soon enough!

So his birthday falls on the same day as the attack on Pearl Harbor. Cool!

Poor guy! I hope they were his baby teeth. Tell him happy birthday and I hope he doesn’t have that happen again! 🙂

Thanks for the well-wishes. I’ll pass those on tomorrow.

And it’s “all I want for Hanukkah is a few more teeth, a few more teeth…”

Ok, I admit that was pretty stupid.

And yes, Jo, they were baby teeth. It was amazing. 3 teeth gone! Well, one hanging by a scrap of gum tissue and blood everywhere. But 3 rinses later and some wet paper towels so he could bite down and apply pressure and the bleeding stopped, nothing hurts, his gums are fine and he’s off to the races.

    Unbelievable.

Well, look at the bright side. He’s already got a head start on all the other kids who might want to be a professional Hockey player.

    “I’m exhausted.”

You’re a mom. Glory in it, there is no higher earthly calling than what you did today.

    Good on ya!

Mine is turning 6 next month. She just lost her first tooth Thanksgiving day.

When the kids are grown, you’ll cherish all of the trouble with fond memories.

I wouldn’t trade any of it for all the tea in China. 🙂

But if I were G-d, I would have spaced their birthdays further apart than three days.

    I’m just sayin’.

  • CrazyJo

All these December birthdays! Mine is the day after tomorrow – we’re going to have carrot cake, and I haven’t got much further than that. Maybe we’ll rent the new Pirates movie. Birthdays just aren’t as cool once you get to adulthood.

My daughters (23 and 20) were three years and five days apart so I no from where you come. Blessings on both your birthday boys!

I never wanted to have children in December, too close to Christmas.

However, out of four children, one has his B-Day on December 15th, he will be 17.

Dear heavens time flies when you wanna kill those lil boogers!

Happy belated B-Day for your two young men!

Sounds like you just get horny in the spring. I don’t think you can blame it on the big guy.

Well, I’ve always thought of March as a terrific month. It being my birthday month. *wink*
