Reaching tentatively,ย  eyes wide then squeezed shut…

Is it wrong to see what is good but want what is…

Wonderful?

I remember wonderful. The death-defying exhilaration of –

More.

A mere glimmer ofย  vision. A barely disguised dream pushing through

the fog of Mundane.

Dark red, glowing orange embers of passion spent.

Is it too late?

  • Not too late. ๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t think I’ve ever quoted Coolidge before, but here ya go: “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”John Calvin Coolidge

  • I should always write two extra pieces of information on these kinds of poems. 1. What frame of mind I am in and 2. The condition of my endorphin producing candy stash… ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the quote. Thanks, Jen.
