Save only the humming of fans and the muffled chirp of little birds in the pine tree next to my window.

I can close my eyes and let my mind float in the velvety stillness that is here.

Quietness; a healing salve. A restorative. Life.

I am remade in silence. In solitude. It is for me more valuable than any other gift.

It is in these moments that I feel the breath of G-d in my face.

Turbulent waters of a busy soul are commanded. A stormy sea becomes smooth as glass.

Those memories once hidden float slowly to the surface.

In this moment I can bear it.

In this communion of quiet between my Maker & I, I am able to obey and to Be Still.
