Bypass in Passing

September 25, 2008

Dad woke up from his triple bypass about an hour ago.    Surgery went amazingly well and he’s on the mend.  Now we wait and pray for strength and continued good care.  Between getting kisses from all the girls who are in the room including the cute, blond nurse, Maria and joking with us (silently as he’s having a hard time talking since the breathing tube was removed) we are looking forward to Dad’s quick and speedy recovery.

It’s been a long day and we are looking forward to three weeks from now as Dad regains his strength.

So glad to hear it went well! Praying he heals quickly.

  • I will continue in my prayers for your Dad and for you. Glad he’s on the mend!

  • Glad to hear it.

    Excellent news, Heidi!

Glad to hear all went well. My grandmother is still recovering (although she was in worse physical condition that your father), but it does take quite a while. The doctors told us it would be 6-8 weeks before my grandma would start feeling more normal, and up to six months before she’s completely healed.

We’ll be praying that his body responds well to the surgery.

  • I’m so glad to “hear” that all went well!

  • How about a little prophetic scripture for both your parents?

    PSALM 92:10-15 (KJV)
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
    14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

    Psalm 57:7
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed. I will sing and make music.

  • Glad to hear this! Praying for continued strength.

This is wonderful news. It almost seems like a little nod from Bane…
