I write like
Kurt Vonnegut

Stephen King. I like his work, unless he drifts into teh stupid (liberalism) or when he gets tired at the end of many of his writings and… just… writes stuff. Of course, I am better at dodging cars, too. Hahhaha On another piece, I was compared to David Foster Wallace. I did two very different articles, and two of my favorites, and they each got 2 nods. Whatever that means.

I am not sure who Kurt is. I thought I may have read some of his stuff, but being a new guy (I read mostly more dead guy (and a few dead gal) stuff), I know I haven’t. I don’t know who David is either. Bah… I am such a philistine with some things.

Do you suppose writing style means anything, or even that these tests are right? Just curious. I think they mean something, and probably have some validity, but mostly just personally (if we could figure it out).

Apparently I write like Jane Austen and Margaret Atwood, two authors I have never read.

  • Two of my posts came out as Stephen King. One as James Fennimore Cooper who I have only heard of but am not familiar with.

  • Arthur C. Clarke and David Foster Wallace. I can’t say I’m pleased by either of those. I read one of Clarke’s books years ago and thought it was boring. =(

  • Vonnegut was a humanist to the extreme. Ick. Pablo writes like a girl. HA HA HAHAHA!!!

And a Victorian romance novelistita at that!

Sorry, Pablo, I COULD NOT resist!!!

  • If it makes you feel any better Pablo, Austen was a brilliant author gifted with the ability to portray the absurdities in human behavior with a wicked sense of humor.

  • Seems I write like James Joyce. I’ve not a clue whether that’s good, bad or indifferent… πŸ™‚

Thanks for for the insight, Arielle. Guess that explains Evil Squirrel…
And Heidi, I don’t mind being made fun of. I grew up with 4 brothers, so I’m used to it.
Wait a minute, maybe THAT explains Evil Squirrel…

  • Pablo, I grew up with four brothers too! πŸ™‚ Maybe that’s why I love to make fun of people so much! πŸ™‚

I think it’s HILARIOUS that this STUPID quiz would say you write like Jane Austen, paragon of estrogen, for the heavily perfumed masses too silly to understand that she was writing satirically. But still a girl.

I NEVER would have gone there.
